Tomorrow night the Cincinnati Bengals are set to play the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football. And while the Bengals will be searching for their first win in the season, their are much more concerning issues then their 0-2 record at this point. During the off-season star Quarterback Joe Burrow injured his calf in a non-contact situation during practice. When this happened I like many Bengals fans almost killed myself. Joe Burrow has been the star this team and city needed. He pulled the Bengals up out of the muck of the Ohio River and restored the Bengals to relevance. Now since then Burrow has rehabbed and come back to playing, and even though he has struggled through the first two games. I felt that this Super Bowl rematch could be just the game to get his mojo back. But at the end of the loss to the Ravens last week Burrow reagitated his calf injury. All this week the talk has been about wether or not Joe Burrow should start and I was firmly on the side of sit him. The Bengals cannot risk losing Burrow to season ending injury, but they can overcome a slow start. They did it last year and they could certainly do it again. But then in swooped the evil mastermind himself, the hoodied supervillain of the NFL, Bill Belicheck. On Friday September 22nd Bill Belicheck and the New England patriots signed Quarterback Will Grier off of the Cincinnati Bengals practice squad knowing damn well that was not enough time to go get another quality back up. So instead the Bengals signed Reid Sinnett who last started for the San Antonio Brahmas of the XFL. Sinnett was with the Bengals during the off-season but was released when the Bengals signed Will Grier. So now Bill Belicheck in an all time evil move has put the Bengals between a rock and a hard place. Do you start Joe Burrow and risk losing him for the season? Or do you go into a game with your only options being Jake Browning and a guy you signed on Friday? If the Bengals choose the first option and Burrow is hurt I am calling upon Mike Brown and the entire Bengals front office to take Belicheck to court for murder. And even then that is not enough, Belicheck should be tried even if nothing happens for attempted murder. And for what? The Patriots are maybe a fringe playoff team. Certainly not a team that could make any noise in the post season. So eliminating the Bengals by murdering Joe Burrow would only slightly move the needle for the Pat's. So if you are a person the opposes murder or the bodily harm of Joe Burrow, please for Joe Burrow, the city of Cincinnati, and Bengals fans everywhere. Please pray for Joe Burrow, because God knows he needs it. Because if Joe steps out on the field tomorrow he will be staring down one of the most intimidating defensive players of the current age... Aaron Donald. All while Bill Belichick will be petting a hairless cat, and smiling thinking about how he just put a man's life in danger.
