Throwing the ball behind the line of scrimmage is an infection, and it's killing offenses. Now before you go saying "you don't know ball" and whatever Shit spews from your uneducated mouth. I understand the logic, try and get the ball to the perimeter before the defense has a chance to react and hopefully get some guys downfield to block and break a big play. But as someone who watches more football in one weekend then most people do in a month. I can confidently say it almost never works. I can't tell you how many times I've seen a drive stall thanks to a failed screen and a quick dump to the running back out of the backfield. It kills drives and offenses, and when it infects an offense it ALWAYS lingers around. Head coaches and play-callers will see it not work, and go right back to it. The risk to reward ratio is just flat out BAD. When it works it a 3-10 yard play and when it fails it's anywhere from -1 yard gain to a disastrous turnover. SO STOP CALLING IT! It doesn't work, and it kills everything good in its place. I'm looking at you Josh Heupel and Tennessee, for my sanity stop calling it. LET BAZOOKA JOE AND THIS OFFENSE EAT!!
